2008 Hunter/Jumper Schooling Shows
Show Dates: April 12, May 3, June 21, August 2, September 20, October 4

Show Secretaries:  Pole stalls may be reserved for $15.  For reservations
call Leslie Cox at 206-842-1575. Some stalls require stall guards which
must be supplied by the user.  All stalls must be cleaned before you leave!

1.  The goal of the Saddle Club Schooling Shows is to offer a series of fun and affordable shows to promote good sportsmanship and encourage equine competition in our local area while exhibiting in a friendly atmosphere.

2.  Entry Fees:  $8.00 per class for members and $12.00 for non-members.  Ribbons will be awarded to 8th place.  Only members may compete for year end awards.  Points for year end awards will accrue only from the first six classes in which a member is judged at each schooling show.  Please see the Office for membership information.

3.  Schooling:  The main show ring will be open for schooling until 8:45 a.m.  At that time the main ring will be closed for open schooling and reserved for walk/trot schooling only.  The warm-up ring located to the south of the main ring is available throughout the day for additional schooling.

4.  No cross-entry between classes 1-13 and 14-28.

5.  Jumper classes will consist of an equitation score and a time.  The two will be combined for an overall placing.  This is to encourage good horsemanship and safe riding.

6.  ASTM Approved protective headgear is required for all exhibitors.  Proper show attire is encouraged for all exhibitors.  Judges MAY take overall appearance into consideration when placing classes.

7.  Judge's Cards will be available for viewing.  Please contact the Office for more information.

8.  Concessions are available at the show grounds.

10.  Class sponsorships are available.  Please contact Sara Papajani at (206) 780-5322 for more information.

11.  The Saddle Club Show Grounds will be closed the day before each schooling show for maintenance.  No Exceptions.

12.  Year-End Award Age Divisions are: 10 & Under Flat, 10 & Under Over Fences, 11-13 Flat, 11-13 Over Fences, 14-18 Flat, 14-18 Over Fences, Adult Flat and Adult Over Fences.  Award Divisions are based on the rider's age as of December 1 of the prior year.  Year end awards are for members only.  The 2008 Bainbridge Island Saddle Club Awards Banquet will be November 8, 2008 at St. Barnabas.

13.  Dogs must be kept on leashes at all times.

14.  Bainbridge Island Saddle Club will not be responsible for injury or damage to any animal, person or property of the exhibitor, spectator, groom, attendant or any employee.  The exhibitor, spectator, groom, attendant or any employee shall hold Bainbridge Island Saddle Club harmless and indemnify it against any legal proceedings arising from any accident or injury.

15.  Show management reserves the right to deny entry to any exhibitor or spectator for any reason.  Classes may be combined, cancelled or changed at the discretion of show management.

BISC - SUPPORTING BAINBRIDGE RIDERS AND THEIR HORSES
