  1. The goal of the Saddle Club Schooling Shows is to offer a series of fun and affordable shows, to promote good sportsmanship/horsemanship and to encourage equine competition in our local area while exhibiting in a friendly atmosphere.
  2. Entry fees:  $8 per class for members and $12 for non-members.  Prizes to 1st and ribbons through 8th place.  Championships and Reserve Championships awarded for each Division and prize money to Jumper classes.  Current members qualify for year-end awards and accrue points in the first 6 classes in which they are judged for each show.
  3. Mini-Maclay Medal Flat Phase tests are selected from USEF Equitation Tests 1-19, and may include counter canter and gait extensions. 
  4. Schooling:  The main show ring will be open for schooling until 8:45 a.m.  At 8:45 a.m., the ring is reserved for walk/trot competitors.  The warm-up arena south of the main show ring will be available for schooling all day.
  5. No rider cross-entry between classes 1-11 and classes 13-29.  Riders may school any class (not to be judged, no year-end points) by turning their number upside down and going at the end of the order.  Please alert the Office if schooling.
  6. Trainers may school in any class and may be judged in any open classes. 
  7. Show management reserves the right to deny entry to any exhibitor or spectator for any reason.  Classes may be combined, cancelled or changed at the discretion of show management.
  8. ASTM and/or SEI certified protective headgear is required and must be worn at all times by exhibitors when mounted.  Proper show attire is encouraged.  Judges MAY take overall appearance into consideration when placing classes.
  9. Judge’s Cards are available for viewing.  Please contact the Office for more information.
  10. Concessions will be available during the show.
  11. Pole stalls may be reserved for $15 for the day.  Reservations are required and are on a first come basis.  Please call Leslie Cox (206) 842-1575.  All stalls must be cleaned at the end of the day, and future reservations may become unavailable if this requirement is not met.
  12. Class sponsorships are available.  Please contact Sara Papajani (206) 780-5322 for information and benefits.
  13.  The BISC Show grounds will be closed the day before each schooling show for maintenance and set up.
  14.  Dogs must be kept on leashes at all times.
  15.  Year-End Award Age Divisions are:  10 & Under Flat, 10 & Under Over Fences, 11-13 Flat, 11-13 Over Fences, 14-18 Flat, 14-18 Over Fences, Adult Flat, and Adult Over Fences. Divisions based on the rider’s age as of December 1st of the prior year.  Year end awards open to current members only.
  16. Bainbridge Island Saddle Club will not be responsible for injury or damage to any animal, person or property of any exhibitor, spectator, groom, attendant or employee.  The exhibitor, spectator, groom, attendant or employee shall hold the Bainbridge Island Saddle Club harmless and indemnify it against any legal proceedings arising from any accident or injury.
