BISC Committees are led by a BISC Board Member and/or Committee Chair. Work done on a committee counts towards a member's volunteer hours

2022 BISC Committees:

Communications

Includes the creation of a regular newsletter, events calendar, flyers, etc. and all Social Media posts - including posting updates, news, events, etc. on Social Media sites such as Facebook, Twitter, etc. Monitors other postings on the site for items that need responses.  Responsible for monitoring club email account and responding and/or forwarding as necessary.

Grounds/Facilities

Includes general maintenance around the grounds, plus the following:

  • Arena Dragging – Responsible for having the arenas dragged every month or before and during events.
  • Arena Watering – Responsible for watering the arenas in preparation for events.
  • Lawn Mowing – Responsible for making sure the grounds are mowed as needed prior to events.
  • Organize volunteers to mow, drag arenas, weed whack on a regular schedule.
  • Tractor maintenance
  • Regular check ins of the club to identify anything that may need repairs
  • Train volunteers on how t use new equipment.
  • Identify areas for capital improvement.
  • Maintain buildings and organize repairs (plumbing, electrical, painting, security, roofs, gutters)

Volunteer/Contacts Coordinator

Responsible for Managing Volunteer list and creating volunteer sign up schedules.  Manages contact list for volunteers and barns.

  • Track volunteer hours

Merchandise/Awards Management

Responsible for ribbons, prizes for shows, year end awards and plaques, etc.
