    They are here!!  BISC Club apparel orders will be available for pickup tomorrow, Saturday 9/15, at the HJ Schooling Show.  

    We have a few extras of these prized hoodies, full and quarter zip sweatshirts for purchase in case you missed the ordering cycle.  But they are expected to go fast...so don't delay!  

    ALSO don't miss shopping for bargains at the BISC Annual Tack Sale, starting at 8am under the tents in front of the Clubhouse.

    Good Morning Trail Volunteers

    Our monthly trail work party is next Saturday, September 22nd on the Veterane Trail 10am-1pm. Please meet at the Crystal Springs Drive entrance at 10am. There is street parking along the shoreline and on Baker Hill.  We will be working to open up the trail corridor and inspect/repair any potential hazard spots. Erik will bring an assortment of tools, but feel free to bring along  your trusty loppers.

    BISC ANNUAL TACK SALE
    SEPTEMBER 15, 2018 - 8AM (Day of Sept HJ Show)

    Mosey on over to the BISC annual tack sale, taking place under the tents on the lawn in front of the show office during our last HJ schooling show of the season. All proceeds will go towards overhead costs of Saddle Club operations and facilities upkeep.  Only cash or check will be accepted.  Many wonderful bargains will be there, so please come take advantage of this once a year event!!  

    GOT TACK??

    Do you have tack, apparel or barn implements that are collecting dust?  Now is the time to clean out your tack trunk, barn or garage and donate it towards a great cause!  Plus make room for new stuff!

    DONATION / TACK SALE:

    Please bring your items, large or small, clean and ready to use, (w/ retail or est price if available) to the Saddle Club office BY FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 14...  Or, start a collection at your barn and call us to arrange a pick-up (BI and Poulsbo only)…Jackie Flannery 206-747-1734.  

    We will also be accepting items in the AM on the day of the sale, Sept 15, which is the last BISC Hunter Jumper Show for the year.  

    “SILENT AUCTION” :  WE ALSO PLAN TO HAVE A FEW choice USED items to bid on during the day.

    It happens only once a year... earn double points at the HJ schooling show this Saturday, 8/11!!  

    Show starts at 8am with Jumpers, followed by Hunters and Equitation.  Stalls may be reserved through your trainer, or by contacting Jackie Chipman at jackie_chipman@msn.com or 206-310-7478.

    An exciting Member Event is coming up this Saturday, July 7.

    Schelule of Events:

    9am       Equestrian games
    11:30am    Barbeque lunch
    12:30pm    Member meeting

    We will enjoy of morning of fun equestrian games (free) and schooling courses ($3 ea) with a complimentary BBQ, followed by short meeting in which the Board will be discussing our efforts to finally secure 501(c)(3) non-profit tax-exempt status for our Club.  We will present what has led us to pursue changing status, the benefits, and the time-line of this process.  Our legal counsel, Kol Medina, will be with us to answer questions.  The meeting will conclude with vote to adjust our By-Laws to better align to the federal 501(c)(3) criteria. 

    If you are not a currently member but would like to participate in this event and help shape the future of the Club, please feel free to become a member and join us!

    Event Description:  Come join us for a morning of fun and games followed by a BBQ and brief membership meeting. We will set courses at 3 or 4 different heights to accommodate different ages and ability levels. Each schooling round will cost $3. The schooling rounds will be followed by an assortment of equestrian games: ride a "buck", egg & spoon and streamer team to name a few.... all free of charge. Also included is a casual BBQ lunch compliments of BISC. This is a member event but non-members are welcome to ride too if they wish by simply joining the club :) .  An "event" level, weekend membership is always an option, but does not hold voting privileges. We hope to see you on the 7th. Please let us know if you can come and if you need a stall. We will be holding a brief membership meeting to approve new By-Laws, to facilitate our transition back to non-profit status! So exciting :)  Please RSVP to jackie_chipman@msn.com.

    What a great day Saturday turned out to be for the June 9 HJ show!  It was a light showing of participation but a fun time nonetheless.
