Mission

The goal of the Bainbridge Island Saddle Club (BISC) Schooling Shows is to offer a series of fun and affordable shows promoting good sportsmanship, horsemanship and encouraging equine competition in our local area in a friendly atmosphere.

You may use this registration form to pre-register for classes and reserve stalls.

The main show ring will be open for schooling until 7:45 AM, with classes 1-4 beginning at 8:00 AM. You may use this registration form to pre-register for classes and reserve stalls.

Immediately following these classes, additional schooling will be available for 30 minutes with the last 10 minutes reserved for our walk/trot competitors only. 

A Daily High Point Prize will be awarded to the competitor who accrues the most points in the classes listed for each of these divisions:

  • Jumper (classes 1, 2, 3, 4)
  • Trot Pole Hunters (classes 6, 7, 8, 9)
  • Cross Rail Hunters (classes 10, 11, 12, 13)
  • Tiny Hunters (classes 14, 15, 16, 17)
  • Short/Long Stirrup (classes 19, 20, 21, 22)
  • Pre-Child/Adult (classes 21, 22, 23, 24)
  • Children’s/Adult (classes 25, 26, 27, 28)
Members also qualify for year-end awards and accrue points in the first six classes in which they are judged at each show. Membership forms can be completed here, or printed with this link or picked up at the show office on the day of the show.

Facility Policies 1.    BISC will not be responsible for injury or damage to any animal, person or property of the exhibitor, spectator, groom, attendant or any employee. The exhibitor, spectator, groom, attendant or any employee shall hold the Bainbridge Island Saddle Club harmless and indemnify it against any legal proceedings arising from any accident or injury.
2.    The Saddle Club Show grounds will be closed the day before each schooling show for maintenance and set up.
3.    Dogs must be kept on leashes at all times.
4.    Show management reserves the right to deny entry to any exhibitor or spectator for any reason. Classes may be combined, cancelled or changed at the discretion of show management.
5.    ASTM approved protective headgear and proper footwear is required for all exhibitors and must be worn at all times when mounted.

Show Policies

1.    Entry fees:
  • $12 per class for members and
  • $18 for non-members
2.    Prizes to 1st place winners and ribbons awarded through 8th place.
3.   Any flat class with more than 12 entries will be split and pinned separately.
4.    No rider cross entry between classes 5-17 and 18-28.

You may school any class (not to be judged and with no year-end points,) by turning your number upside down and going at the end of the order. Please alert the office staff of your intentions.
6.    Judge’s cards may be available for viewing. Please contact the office for more information.
7.    Concessions will be available during the show and are a fund-raising enterprise for the Bainbridge Island Pony Club.
8.    Divisions are based on the rider’s age as of December 1st of the prior year. Year-End Award Age Divisions are:

  • 10 & Under Flat,
  • 10 & Under Over Fences
  • 11-13 Flat,
  • 11-13 Over Fences,
  • 14-18 Flat,
  • 14-18 Over Fences
  • Adult Flat
  • Adult Over Fences
9.    Year-end awards are for members only.

Stalls

Pole stalls may be reserved for the day at a cost of:

  • $15 for members and
  • $20 for non-members

Reservations are required and are on a first come basis. To make your stall reservation:

All stalls must be cleaned at the end of the day or future reservations may be jeopardized.
