Welcome to the Bainbridge Island Saddle Club
We are a membership organization whose purpose is to promote good horsemanship and foster amateur equestrian sports in the Bainbridge Island community and surrounding areas.
BISC owns and maintains a large outdoor member riding facility with direct access to trails in the adjacent Manzanita Park. This allows us to host to a variety of educational activities such as schooling shows, clinics and equestrian gaming events for children and adults. We also partner with other non-profit organizations in pursuit of these purposes.
Our membership term is from March to March of each year, and our show season starts in April and ends in October. We celebrate the end our show season with an annual awards banquet to honor the achievements of our members.
BISC supports the local equestrian community by hosting a series of hunter-jumper schooling shows each year, April-September. We also have recently added dressage schooling shows to our spring and fall calendar. We provide a fun and supportive environment for all to learn and gain experience with their horses. It is recommended that stalls be reserved in advance. Class lists are available to enable you to review and fill out your Class Entry Forms before the shows.
BISC is also home of the Bainbridge Island Pony Club, and sponsors horsemanship certifications, show rallies, summer camp and social events.
Our facilities include a large arena with covered viewing stand, office, judges tower, cook shack, restrooms, covered picnic area, a smaller warm-up arena, pole stalls, and water.
We permit private and groups riding lessons in our arenas through our member trainers holding a certificate of insurance. The facility is also available for rent.
