Intermediate Groundwork Sat & Sun, 1-4pm $150.00 Member | $165 Non-Member - Learn more refinement within yourself and your horse to get softer, lighter, and in better rhythm. More focus on preparation for under-saddle work.
Troubleshooting: Saturday 4-6pm $50.00 Member | $60 Non-Member - Looking for some help with a specific problem? Sign up for this bonus session with Lisa who can help address specific questions and issues. It will be an open format
- helping with pushy horses/those that feel dangerous to lead (crowders)
- troubleshoot trailering
- trouble with bridling, saddling, mounting
- helping with horses that have a hard time with farrier (picking up feet) or vet work
About the Clinician:
Lisa learned to ride at 8 years old from a tough-as-old-boot-leather woman in the backcountry of the North Cascades and grew up riding alongside cowboys & ranchers, as well as "showing" in small-town 4-H shows.
She spent her college years exercising show jumpers (and taking just enough lessons in jumping so she knew how to not get in their way!) and teaching beginner riding lessons to all ages.
Lisa discovered the Vaquero style of horsemanship about 12 years ago and found a way of connecting with and educating the horse that she had been searching for since childhood - a way of working with them, "as if the horse had a say in how we go about it".
The core philosophies of this work empower the horse through softness, feel, and true connection, building their confidence and offering them emotional and mental peace, in any circumstances. They also encourage us humans to find peace within ourselves, recognize and regulate our energy, and to be present with our equine partners.
