Let's support our park district and protect our amazing public trails! Please consider joining this work party:

The Trail Advisory Committee met this past Monday and has selected the site for our upcoming trail work party. We will be meeting at the Marshall Road parking lot of Gazzam Lake Nature Preserve at 10am to work on two different tasks. The first task is to (re)bury the old Spring Ridge Trail route, which was rerouted last year to move in further onto our property. The second task is to reconstruct a lower portion of the Knudsen Trail. Hope to see you all there!

    Saturday June 23rd 10am-1pm

Gazzam Lake Nature Preserve (Marshall Rd parking lot)

Equestrians, come on out to help support the trails we and our horses use and love!

BI Metro Parks & Rec will be working on upgrading the trails at the south end of the park to match the Class One trail system in the majority of Grand Forest West.

Parking is available in the small lot off Miller Road and along the shoulder. Please use caution when walking to the trailhead at the Miller Road parking lot. Tools will be available, but are in limited supply, so feel free to bring that favorite shovel, rake, or loppers.

The main arena is being watered from now until Saturday in preparation for the Pony Club certification testing on Sunday. You may ride in the arena during this time, but please do not move the waterwheel or hose. You can turn off the water and move the electrical cord.

The pony club certification this Sunday will not result in a closed club for the rest of the members, but the main arena will be closed Saturday evening and Sunday due to jumps being in the arena. Feel free to use the rest of the facilities; just be aware that they will be busier than usual.

    Thanks!
